Handwoven Eye Kimonos

No two custom Eye Kimonos are alike. First the fabric is woven from fine cotton at our Istanbul atelier. Once the kimono is finished it is sent to our store where Turkish Modern founder/designer Seyda Carter stitches the eyes onto the back herself--a process which typically takes an entire workday and includes cutting the fabrics, assembling the pieces and stitching them onto the kimono by hand with needle and thread.  All Eye Kimonos feature side splits, ties for securing the waist, and a removable belt.
