This painting captures a moment I witnessed last winter on Bozcaada in what appeared to be an intense exchange over a small child. Set against the vibrant and textured landscape of the island, the scene features the island’s distinctive rocky terrain and turquoise Aegean beneath a pink-hued sky. I used dynamic brushstrokes and bold colors—reds, oranges, and greens—to bring depth to the backdrop. I aimed to capture the contrast between the serene beauty of Bozcaada and the charged emotions of the moment.
